I can’t help but wonder if we are the only ones who can see the world in color. I don’t want to live a life in a dull, empty space. I refuse to walk with the crowd, and follow the same leader everyone else is following.
I choose a natural, peaceful life. A life full of vibrant colors, full of energy and joy. I prefer flowers over concrete, trees over skyscrapers, playful feet over cars.
I stand in the rain when everyone else is rushing inside, I’m loving the way it makes me feel inside. I love the freshness on my skin. It makes me feel pure and alive.
I want to wake up to the sound of birds singing, not alarm clocks or honking cars. I want to be outside all day and breathe clean, fresh air. I want to feel the warmth of the sun on my back. I want to walk in the moonlight with my lover and dogs. I want to hike the mountains and bathe in the river.
When I look out of the window, I want to see mountains and trees, not what the neighbour across the street is cooking for dinner.
I want dirty nails from working in the garden, not manicured ones. I want my hair messy and wild, and skin like tree bark. I want to sing with the birds and dance in the wind.
I want to be wild. And I want to be free. Because that is the way I was meant to be.
